Chad is the indispensable third part of a trio formed with Veronica and Dan in their first year of college. A librarian for the University of Louisville, he spends his free time learning the lyrics of Beyonce’s entire discography and being an incredibly kind person.

Gracie is the most impressive person you know. She finished her law degree this year—but years before that, Dan worked under her when she was the fearless leader of UVA’s student paper. The two of them bond over reading popular novels and writing murder mysteries together.

Even before joining the acapella group Hoos In Treble their first semester at UVA, Josie and Caroline bonded in a history class. The two have been soulmates ever since. An accomplished classical singer, Josie also works as a speech language pathologist and teaches voice lessons to some really lucky students.

Dan met Annie in a UVA creative writing class and quickly realized they were much cooler than him. Despite that, they became quick friends, even living together during the worst of COVID. Nowadays, Annie is a radio host based in Richmond. Spotify’s algorithm could never make playlists as good as hers.

Why, yes—Caroline did just complete a half marathon while multiple months pregnant! The DPT’s determination is just one of many qualities making her so lovable. When she joined the bride’s soccer team back in the day, the two became instant buds. (Just don’t ask about their One Direction fangirl days, okay?)

Thomas is tied for best Cav Daily coeditor Dan could’ve asked for (see Sam Henson). He has great taste (he’s seen Steely Dan in concert multiple times) and proves it whenever it’s his turn to pick the next film in their movie club.

By the time you woke up today, Dom had already run eight miles and finished his tenth glass of water. An Ohio native, he practically grew up as Caroline’s neighbor. He has the best innate sense of direction of any human alive and is a loving cat father to Turtle, the face of Adams Morgan.

Veronica has the honor of being Dan’s first friend made at UVA. When they’re not busy being the most popular person in the Big Apple, she makes time to swap creative writing with Dan and show friends around Astoria, the coolest neighborhood in New York. Ask her about Shrek.
